During the signing ceremony of the respective memoranda of understanding, the 9 NGO cooperation partners, through the representative of medicusmundi, Violeta Bila, expressed their appreciation for the “openness and continued support of the Government of Mozambique”. Violeta Bila, representing the NGOs, also highlighted “the importance of collaboration with the Health Service of Maputo, which has been fundamental to improving the quality of health services provided to the population”.
The NGOs reaffirmed their commitment to align their projects with national priorities, ensuring effective and coordinated implementation, always in line with government guidelines.
Intervention by the Representative of the Cooperation Partners
Currently, medicusmundi is implementing the following projects in the city of Maputo: 1) “Improving municipal policies for people with disabilities in Maputo”, funded by the Municipality of Barcelona and implemented in collaboration with the City Council of Maputo (CMM) and ADEMO; 2) “Consolidating exit routes from gender-based violence in Maputo”, funded by the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation (ACCD) and implemented in collaboration with Fórum Mulher and the Hixikanwe Association.
