To strengthen primary health care, especially in contexts marked by population displacement and social vulnerability.

As part of the humanitarian project "Improving the provision of quality health services to the displaced population and host communities of Ancuabe and Montepuez with a focus on particularly vulnerable groups", funded by the Generalitat Valenciana / Valencian Cooperation, medicusmundi delivered a significant batch of hospital supplies to the districts of Montepuez and Ancuabe, in the province of Cabo Delgado, on September 29 and 30, 2025.

The donation included catheters of various sizes, medical cotton, oxygen concentrators, cell phone packs, digital heart rate monitors, baby blankets, IV poles, and other essential equipment to strengthen the response capacity of local health centres.

This initiative aims to strengthen primary health care, especially in contexts marked by population displacement and social vulnerability, ensuring that both host communities and internally displaced persons have access to decent and effective medical care.

The district's health authorities expressed their gratitude for the gesture, emphasizing that medicusmundi's support directly contributes to improving the quality of care, especially in areas with limited resources.

This activity was carried out within the framework of the humanitarian project "Improving the provision of quality health services to the displaced population and host communities of Ancuabe and Montepuez with a focus on particularly vulnerable groups", funded by the Generalitat Valenciana / Valencian Cooperation and implemented by medicusmundi in collaboration with the National Health System.
