50 key actors in GBV were trained in the districts of Ancuabe and Namuno, within the framework of agreement 22-CO1-398 “Improving the Quality, Coverage and Resilience of the Cabo Delgado healthcare system”, financed by the Spanish Agency of International Development Cooperation (AECID).

The “Healthy School” competition took place on April 19, in the atrium of the Maputo Municipal Council, within the framework of the project “Social Determinants of Health: the best strategy against COVID-19 in Maputo”, financed by the Municipality of Barcelona.

On March 11, 2024, took place in Maputo the first coordination and planning meeting of the project “Consolidating exit routes from gender-based violence in Maputo”, financed by the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation (ACCD), with the participation of its implementation partners: medicusmundi, Fórum Mulher and Associação Hixikanwe.

On 6 and 7 March, the presentation and coordination meetings of the project “Improving municipal policies for people with disabilities in Maputo”, financed by the Municipality of Barcelona, and implemented by medicusmundi, in collaboration with ADEMO and the City Council of Maputo.

On March 1, 2024, in Maputo, medicusmundi signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Hixikanwe Association, within the framework of the project “Consolidating exit routes from gender-based violence in Maputo”, financed by the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation (ACCD). 

The winners of the “Award for the Best Report on the Right to Health” are announced, within the framework of the project “The Social Determinants of Health: the best strategy against COVID-19 in Maputo”, implemented by medicusmundi, in collaboration with the Municipal Council of Maputo and MISA Moçambique, and financed by the Municipality of Barcelona.

UNITE! Invest to prevent violence against women and girls

Within the framework of the implementation of the project “Associated miners of Cabo Delgado and Nampula practice dignified, ethical, clean and environmentally sustainable artisanal and small-scale mining”, financed by the Generalitat Valenciana and implemented by medicusmundi and Centro Terra Viva, it took place on October 31 and November 1, 2023, in the city of Nampula, a first aid training for 10 health focal points at the community level.

On October 13, 14 and 16, within the framework of the Humanitarian Action Project 2022-2024 financed by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) and the co-financing of the municipalities of Granollers, Sant Cugat del Vallès and Rubí , medicusmundi, through its collaborators and activists in the resettlement centers, carried out the first cycle of distribution of dignity kits to vulnerable women, victims of the armed conflict in the North of the province of Cabo Delgado and resettled in the districts of Montepuez and Namuno.
