Creation and application of monitoring mechanisms and comprehensive care for women victims of GBV
At this meeting to plan and coordinate activities, medicusmundi, the Fórum Mulher, the Hixikanwe Association, and the Multisector Group (IPAJ, Social Action Service and Family Assistance Office of the PRM) of Maputo were present, as part of the operation of the Multisector Mechanism for Integrated Care of Women Victims of Violence.
The objective of the meeting was to reinforce and highlight the importance of this multisector group in the creation and application of monitoring mechanisms and comprehensive care for women victims of Gender-based Violence (GBV) and their contribution to achieving the following project results:
- Strengthened the organizational and operational capacity of key organizations in the prevention and assistance in the area of Gender Violence in the city of Maputo, Civil Society Organizations and Public Institutions, particularly in the municipal district of Kamubukwana;
- Improved coordination and synergies between organizations that work on gender violence (prevention, detection, care and monitoring in the city of Maputo).
Activity carried out within the framework of the project “Consolidating exit routes from gender-based violence in Maputo”, implemented by medicusmundi, Fórum Mulher and Hixikanwe Association, and financed by the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation (ACCD).
