Gathered in another work session, members of the Alliance for Health define an action plan to support the research components, training and advocacy.
The construction of a website, the launch of a national campaign and the creation of the 1st Activism School in Mozambique are some of the major projects that the Alliance proposes to develop.
On the 3rd of July, members of the Alliance for Health met again for a productive work session. The first Activity Plan was born from it with a view to promoting the Right to Health through the pillars of research, training and advocacy.
The Action Plan highlights the creation of a website reflecting the 3 main areas of action, the launch of a national advocacy campaign and the creation of what will be the 1st Social Activism School in Mozambique. Also noteworthy is the creation of the first ten training courses and the start of the research component through two studies: one on the factors that contribute to malnutrition in Cabo Delgado, another on the financing of the health sector in Mozambique and its impact on quality of Primary Health Care.
This meeting also discussed how to hold the next International Conference on Social Determinants of Health, in 2021, in an innovative and different format than usual, which is consistent with the current global pandemic circumstances.
Finally, the team dedicated itself to analyzing the membership criteria of the new members, and it was decided to extend the participation to all activist organizations that demonstrate strength and willingness to be part of this social movement, regardless of whether or not they have a legal registration document.
The meeting was attended by N’weti - Communication for Health, OCS - Citizen Observatory for Transparency and Good Governance in the Health Sector, medicusmundi and the Municipal Commission for Social Determinants of Health.
