The materials for the Master of Health Sciences course will be the way for ISCISA to obtain accreditation from INED
Another step taken to ensure massification and equity in access to training, as well as expand the educational offer in the health sector.
In early September, medicusmundi signed a collaboration agreement with ISCISA (Higher Institute of Health Sciences) for the implementation of distance learning courses. This agreement follows the desire expressed by ISCISA to open the Master's Degree in Health Sciences, in the distance modality, in response to the government's calls to ensure massification and equity in access to training, as well as expand the educational offer for health sector. Through this master's degree, ISCISA aims to reduce the scarcity of research and scientific production in health matters, which are fundamental to improve care delivery but also to create scientific evidence to support decision making at the level of the National Health System (NHS).
Following INED's indications, ISCISA identified as the main necessity and priority for the beginning of this course, the hiring of specialists for the elaboration and scientific revision of the modules that compose it. It is in this context that the partnership with medicusmundi arises, whose collaboration will be realized in the financing and qualified technical support for the elaboration of the referred contents.
This participation fits in with the area of intervention of the project “Improve the health of the population, focusing on its Social Determinants and special focus on nutrition, through the strengthening of Primary Health Care as the best strategy to guarantee the Right to Health and collaboration of civil society, research institutions and the NHS ”, funded by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID). The decision to support the aforementioned Educational Institution in the elaboration of the modules of the Master Course in Health Sciences is supported by one of the main axes of the project - Research support - materialized in the objectives of promoting research and knowledge generation and improving training offer in Primary Health Care and Social Determinants of Health at national level as a way to strengthen and empower the current health system.
